Every app hides what you need behind a menu someone else designed. Knowy sits beside you instead: it looks at the same screen you are looking at, answers in plain language, and points at the next thing to press.

Ask out loud, it gets done
Say “Hi Knowy” and tell it what you need. It creates folders, opens apps and sites, writes notes, and tells you what it did.
It shows you where to click
Ask how to do something in an app you have never used. Knowy looks at the screen you shared, rings the exact control, and talks you through it one step at a time.
Select and explain
Drag a box around anything on your screen. Knowy reads that region and explains it in plain language, in your language.
Tidy up without clicking
Ask it to group the screenshots, move the invoices, or make a folder for a project, and it does the moving for you.
Drafts and events, ready to send
Connect Gmail and Google Calendar and Knowy prepares the draft or the event. You read it and press send.
Remembers how you like things
Short plain notes like “prefers simple explanations”. You can read, edit or delete every single one, or turn memory off.
Everything stays private
Nobody here reads your chats
Your conversations and screenshots belong to your account. No one on our team reads them, and they are never sold or shared.
Never used for training
What you say to Knowy is not used to train models. It is used to answer you, and that is it.
Your screen is never taken quietly
Nothing is captured in the background. Knowy receives only the screen or region you choose to share, and its own window is never in the shot.
One click erases everything
Delete your account in Settings and every conversation, memory, quiz, summary and connection is wiped immediately.

Download and install
One file for Mac, one for Windows. Drag it in, open it once, and the flame appears in the corner of your screen.

Voice wake is optional. When it is on, Knowy listens for its name and nothing else. Click the flame instead and type.

Share the whole screen or drag a box around one part. Knowy explains it, or shows you the next thing to press.
Where this is going
The idea comes from the primer in The Diamond Age: a companion that grows with one person, teaches them patiently, and never makes them feel small for asking. Knowy starts with the screen in front of you because that is where people get stuck today. Over time it should know your journey, not just your question.

Installing the beta
On Mac
- 1.Open the DMG and drag hiKnowy into your Applications folder.
- 2.The first time, right-click the app and choose Open, then press Open in the dialog. This beta is not notarized yet, so macOS asks once.
- 3.Sign in with one click. Knowy opens your browser, you press Approve, and it connects itself. Then allow the microphone and screen recording.
On Windows
- 1.Run the installer and keep the default location.
- 2.If SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info then Run anyway. This build is not code-signed yet.
- 3.Sign in with one click, then allow the microphone so “Hi Knowy” works. Screen capture needs no extra permission on Windows.

A Knowy Action is one thing Knowy does for you: an answer, a screen explanation, a guided step, a folder, a draft. Plain questions in the chat on the web are not counted.

What is Knowy, in one sentence?+
Knowy is a small flame that lives in the corner of your screen. You talk to it, it answers out loud, it can look at what you are doing when you ask, and it can do small things on your computer for you.
Is Knowy watching my screen all the time?+
No. Knowy sees a screen only after you deliberately capture the full screen, drag a region, or ask for screen help. There is no background recording, and voice wake can be turned off in Settings.
How does the voice part work?+
With voice wake on, Knowy listens locally for its name. Nothing is sent anywhere until it hears “Hi Knowy” and you actually speak a request. Turn it off and Knowy only responds when you click the flame.
What does live guidance mean?+
Ask something like “where do I click to crop this?”. Knowy looks at the screen you shared, finds the control, draws one orange ring around it on your real screen and explains that single step. If the answer is not clearly visible, it says so instead of guessing.
What can it actually do on my computer?+
Today: open apps, sites and YouTube searches, create folders and notes, sort or rename files you point it at, and prepare Gmail drafts or Google Calendar events once you connect those accounts. What works depends on your operating system and the permissions you granted.
Can Knowy see my card number, password or verification code?+
Do not type or say secrets to Knowy. The app blocks likely card numbers, CVVs, passwords, PINs and verification codes from being sent. On a payment or sign-in screen, use Private capture to mask sensitive fields first. Knowy never completes a purchase for you.
Can anyone at hiKnowy read my conversations or see my screen?+
No. Your chats and screenshots are tied to your account so Knowy can help you, and nobody on our team reads them. They are not used to train models, and they are not sold or shared.
Can I delete everything Knowy stored about me?+
Yes, at any time. Open Settings, choose Delete my data and account, and everything is erased immediately: conversations, memories, quizzes, summaries, goals, notifications, connected accounts and your login itself.
What is a Knowy Action?+
One thing Knowy does for you: an answer, a screen explanation, a guided step, a created folder, a prepared draft. Free accounts get 100 once. hiKnowy Pro includes 1,000 every month.
What do I need to run it?+
macOS 12 or newer on Apple Silicon, or Windows 10 and 11 on 64-bit. This is version 0.0.4 beta, so expect rough edges. Install it only from the buttons on this page.
Does it work offline?+
No. Knowy needs an internet connection to think. The mascot and the app open offline, but questions, screen help and actions need to reach our servers.
How do I update or uninstall it?+
hiKnowy checks for newer betas after launch. To remove it, quit it from the flame menu first, then drag it from Applications to the Bin on Mac, or uninstall it from Apps and features on Windows.
